Digital PSAT Bluebook Application - Installation Requirements
All students in grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 will be required to install an application named "Bluebook" by the College Board on their personal devices to be used for the digital PSAT. Students with personal Chromebooks are not required to install this application since it is not compatible with Chromebooks. The Guidance Department and Technology Department will conduct a "Digital Readiness Check" in preparation for the PSAT next week.
Students must download and install this application on their personal devices by Monday, September 25th. Please click this link and follow the onscreen instructions to install the Bluebook application:

Information about the PSAT
On their testing day, students must report to their assigned testing classroom and be ready to take the PSAT before the 8:00 a.m. start time. There is no makeup date for the PSAT.
Students in grades 8 and 9 take the PSAT 8/9. The PSAT 8/9 tests reading, writing, and math skills. The PSAT 8/9 gives families and teachers valuable information about students' academic strengths and weaknesses. Students’ score reports will pinpoint exactly what they need to work on to graduate from high school and be ready for college.
Students in grades 10 and 11 take the PSAT/NMSQT. The PSAT/NMSQT measures the knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math students learn in the classroom, which is the same knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career.
The PSAT does not affect college admissions applications, but it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Some of the highest-scoring students may win scholarship money, so while students should not stress about taking the PSAT, students should not ignore it. Students can use the PSAT as practice for the SAT and ACT and as a guide in preparing for the college admissions process.
