Meet Mr. Gavin Class
Drawing over 10 years of experience as a sports performance coach, Mr. Class delivers proven strength and speed programs that are sport-specific, age-appropriate, and aligned with the School mission to equip students to become the best versions of themselves while growing in faith, service, integrity, leadership, and community.

Mr. Class has an extensive background in athlete development, recovery strategies, and return-to-play planning, with a track record of helping student-athletes improve movement quality, resilience, and in-play performance while reducing injury risk. At Concordia Prep, he will partner closely with the coaches and families to create a unified training culture that emphasizes work ethic, accountability, and long‑term athletic development.

As a former collegiate athlete at the University of Rochester and Towson University, Mr. Class has been able to add his experiences to his expert knowledge in the strength and fitness field, building a diverse coaching background across the private sector and college athletics post college. He has trained middle school, high school, college, and professional athletes in the Baltimore area in the private educational sector and with the Johns Hopkins football program. Mr. Class previously interned at USC in California under the strength staff of the current Super Bowl champions (now with Seattle) and served as head strength coach for the Division I men’s basketball program at the University of Tennessee–Martin. Most recently, he was a sports performance coach at Strength 2 Strength in Denver, CO.

Committed to mentoring young people, Mr. Class views sports performance as a vehicle to teach discipline, confidence, and leadership grounded in faith and service. "I am excited to help every Concordia Prep student-athlete—from first‑time participants to college‑bound standouts—maximize their God‑given potential and contribute to the proud tradition of the School and the Saints legacy."

Mr. Class is the owner of Feast Performance, a new sports performance facility opening this summer, that will serve youth, high school, and collegiate student-athletes with specializations in speed development, strength training, and recovery. He holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and has coached athletes from a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
