It’s a Great Time to be a Saint!
Welcome to Concordia Prep School Athletics, where all students are encouraged to take advantage of a team experience. Whether you are an experienced athlete with aspirations to play at the college level or interested in playing a sport for the first time – Concordia Prep has a place for you. The Upper School offers 19 competitive teams including at the JV and Varsity level and the Middle School offers 11 teams. In the past five years, the Concordia Prep SAINTS have won seven championships. Approximately 80 percent of the Concordia Prep student body participates in sports.
The Athletic Department is committed to developing a successful athletic program that provides a challenging and competitive environment and instills the Christian ideals of commitment, leadership, personal integrity, responsibility, sportsmanship, lifelong fitness, and teamwork within each of our student athletes. We seek to build Christian character on and off the sports field. We teach our student-athletes to be fair, courteous, humble, and respectful of their fellow competitors.
Student-Athlete Wellness
All student-athletes must have a current physical and vaccination record on file with the School Nurse Office to participate in sports. This is a requirement of a student's enrollment here at the school.Concordia Prep employs a full-time school nurse on campus during school hours. The nurse evaluates students who become ill during the school day and contacts their parents as appropriate. The school nurse maintains all health records for students.
Concordia Preparatory School partners with Medstar to offer support for our student-athletes. An athletic trainer is on campus for all home events and practices. They are responsible for the evaluation, treatment, referral, and rehabilitation of all athletic injuries.
