Black History Month Assembly Today
Coordinated by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Black History Month assembly will be led by student leaders in the Diversity Club and Black Student Association (BSA) from 1:55-2:55 p.m. in Saints Gym. Mr. Darryl Green, American author, coach, and motivational speaker, will serve as the keynote speaker for today's event.
 
Bachata Dancing Night Tonight
All current Concordia Prep parents and guardians are invited to a lively evening of music, movement, and connection tomorrow, Friday, February 27th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Hofmeister Hall (Upper School building), Room 202. Join us for a fun night of learning bachata with ballroom dance coach, choreographer, and Saints parent Anna Arutunyan.
 
Alumni and Student Cabaret This Saturday
As part of our School’s 60th anniversary celebration and the A Bold Legacy campaign, the Fine Arts Department invites you to join us this Saturday, February 28th for the Alumni and Student Cabaret. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with performances starting at 7:00 p.m. in Saints Gym.
 
The Cabaret will feature musical and theatrical performances from current students and alumni from five of the six decades of our School’s history. Acts will include monologues, scenes, solos, and duets from shows like Bye, Bye Birdie, The Crucible, The Sound of Music, Chicago, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, and our upcoming musical, Newsies. In addition, there will be instrumental performances from two student-led groups, saxophones, and more. RSVP to this free community event.

National Lutheran Schools Week Rescheduled!
The original week we had planned to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW) was postponed due to inclement weather. We are excited to share that we will now be celebrating NLSW starting Monday, March 16th - Friday, March 20th! Additional details, including spirit day themes and activities, will be coming soon!
 
The Saints Gala: A Diamond Soiree- Get Your Tickets While Available!
Mark your calendars to join us on Saturday, March 21st to celebrate 60 years and join our Concordia Prep community for this annual dinner and auction. This year's event will raise funds towards the A Bold Legacy campaign. More details, including information about tickets and sponsorships, is available on the event website. We look forward to seeing you at this year's diamond soiree!

Register for Summer at Concordia Prep 
The School is excited to offer Summer at Concordia Prep, a variety of camp programs this summer for students ages 7 through 12th grade with wide interests and passions. Registration and specific camp information are available on our website.
 
Technology Office: Personal Device Policy 2026-2027
For the 2026-2027 school year, the School will not recognize iPads and other non-Windows tablets as acceptable personal devices for students across all grade levels due to various network and software compatibility issues. Additionally, any laptops running the “Windows 10” operating system are not considered as acceptable personal devices. Concordia Preparatory School began as Baltimore Lutheran High School, changing its name in 2014.
 
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Activity Night Tonight
Concordia Prep Middle School Student Council will be hosting Middle School students for a fun evening full of activities, games, and prizes, including a 3 v. 3 basketball tournament, today, Friday, February 27th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Activity Center (LAC). RSVPs and payments were due yesterday. 
 
Middle School Spring Sports Begins Next Month
Middle School spring sports is anticipated to begin the week of March 10th. Additional information will be available soon regarding their schedules. 
UPPER SCHOOL
Upper School Spring Sports Continue
Student-athletes should check with their coach regarding the location and times of practices due to field and weather conditions.  Spring sports schedules can be found on both the website calendar and the athletics calendar.
 
Social Studies BOWL XXVI
The brackets have been posted! With 17 teams competing, we will have a play-in round next week for the #16 and #17 teams only. This match will take place on Wednesday, March 4th at 8:00 a.m. in Room 207.
 
As with all upcoming matches, if you have a known conflict with your match time, you must reach out to Ms. Weldon at least 48 hours in advance of the match to have it rescheduled. Otherwise, you risk forfeiting or making your teammate play alone. 

The official first round of matches will take place for all remaining teams on Thursday, March 12th. Times and room locations for that round will be posted next week.
 
Class of 2026 Families: Register for the Senior Dinner by This Sunday
The annual Senior Dinner, hosted by the PTL, will be held on Friday, March 13th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. This event is a memorable evening allowing families to reflect on their students' time at Concordia Prep while sharing a meal and fellowship with other Class of 2026 families. Seniors are allowed to bring up to two (2) guests with them to the dinner. The PTL covers the cost for the graduating student for the dinner; however, each guest must purchase a ticket for $25.00 to attend. Payment is required by Sunday, March 1st via this link.
 
Class of 2027: Junior Ring Ceremony RSVP
The traditional Junior Ring Ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 4:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria to recognize our juniors and their leadership here at Concordia Prep. Class of 2027 families should submit their online RSVP to attend this traditional event by Tuesday, March 10th.
