Concordia Prep is excited to announce Mr. Victor Martez Vaughan as the new Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach. Coach Vaughan has dedicated his career to developing student-athletes both on and off the court and brings over 10 years of coaching experience to enhance and advance the girls basketball program at Concordia Prep.
“I am excited to join the Saints community and begin building a winning culture," said Coach. "My goal is to develop not only great basketball players but even better young ladies in the process.”

Meet Coach VaughanA dedicated coach with over 10 years of experience, Coach Vaughan focuses on the holistic development of student-athletes both on and off the court, mentoring numerous notable players who have gone on to excel at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.
His coaching philosophy is built on three core standards: development, exposure, and "winning the day". Coach models and reinforces a strong commitment to daily growth, creating meaningful opportunities for players to be seen and recruited, and maximizing every practice and game with purpose and intensity. Coach brings unwavering energy and champions his team every day, striving to push each athlete beyond their limits while fostering discipline, confidence, and a team-first mindset. His mission is to simply make players better, prepare them for the next level, and build winners in the process.
Prior to coming to Concordia Prep, Coach served as the Assistant Coach for the Team Takeover Girls 16U EYBL program and Associate Head Coach at Sidwell Friends School, where he focused on player development, recruiting, and game preparation. Known for his detailed scouting reports, film breakdown, and strategic practice planning, he has helped guide athletes to compete at elite levels. His coaching experience also includes serving as Head Coach for the Team Takeover Girls 17U EYCL team and leading programs, such as Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School and Team Takeover Girls National, where he managed recruiting, team development, fundraising, and national tournament travel.
In addition to his team coaching roles, Coach Vaughan is the founder and CEO of "Off The Dribble Basketball Workouts", a training program dedicated to developing athletes’ basketball skills and life skills through individualized instruction and mentorship. He has also served as Head of Player Development at Harford Community College and worked with top AAU programs, including Lady Thrill and Baltimore Dream Team. His career in basketball began as a standout player, competing at Camden High School and CCBC Dundalk, where he led his team in rebounding and scoring before continuing his collegiate career at Frostburg State University. Coach Vaughan holds an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from CCBC Dundalk and completed studies in Computer Science through Coppin State University in partnership with the University of Maryland Global Campus.
