New Pajamas for Drive Due Friday!
We are partnering this month with NewThing on a pajama drive, supporting Casey Cares. Casey Cares is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of critically ill children and their families by providing opportunities for family fun and engagement outside of doctor appointments and hospital stays.

One of the major needs for Casey Cares is donations of New Pajamas for infants through young adult sizes. They provide fun pajamas to children on their birthdays, in the hospital and during in-home treatments to cheer them on. They work with regional hospitals to provide pajamas throughout the year and give out over 60,000 pairs each year. Direct purchases for pajamas can be made via this Amazon list, which will run through this Friday, March 20th.

Student Arts Journal: Call for Submissions
As the Student Arts Journal prepares this year's edition with the creativity of all members of our community, we are excited to release our new call for submissions. The Journal is seeking creative writing, artwork, poetry, photography, creative/personal essays, and comics. And guess what? This year, we are also able to accept forms of digitally exclusive media such as film, music, and animation.

All students in our community are encouraged to submit original work to be published under their real name, a pen name, or anonymously. All submissions must meet the following content guidelines and requirements:
  • All submissions must respect and meet community expectations, including no nudity and no foul or otherwise inappropriate language or content.
  • All written work should have no more than 2,000 words. If work exceeds this word count, please contact the editorial team for possible accommodations.
  • Works in a language other than English are welcome; however, a translation must be provided.
  • Have fun with your work! This Journal is a place for students to flaunt their creativity. Whether you are doing it for fun or with a specific message to share, don’t let this be a cause of stress over perfection!
  • NO works generated by AI are permitted.
All works should be submitted via this online form by Tuesday, March 31st. Questions? Contact a member of the Journal editorial team, which includes Collin Cassell, Dani Cassell, Ryan Hartley, Denise Scurry, Natalie Sklar, and Jaylin Stout.

Social Studies BOWL XXVI Matches Continue
The first round of matches is complete! The Elite 8 remaining teams will compete in the second competition round on Thursday, March 19th at 8:00 a.m. to determine our Final Four teams. Second round room locations are posted outside social studies faculty classrooms and noted below:

As with all upcoming matches, if students have a known conflict with their match time, they must reach out to Ms. Weldon at least 48 hours in advance of the match to have it rescheduled. Otherwise, they risk forfeiting or making their teammate play alone.
