UPPER SCHOOL
Poetry Out Loud School Competition
Upper School students are invited to participate in the annual Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Competition. In recognition of the nation’s 250th anniversary, this year’s rules differ slightly; therefore, the school competition will be held on Friday, January 16th at 3:15 p.m. in Room 202. Students will present one poem at this year's school competition; selected poems must come from poetryoutloud.org and be memorized and recited before judges and an audience. The winner and runner-up will advance to regional and then state competition in March. At the regional, state, and national levels, three poems must be memorized and recited (the three poems must be selected by January 16th). For questions or to participate in the school competition, contact Mr. Doede or Mrs. Johnson.
Senior Banners Orders Due January 30th
The Parent-Teacher League (PTL) has offered the opportunity for graduating students' families to purchase a senior banner. The banners will be displayed in the school hallways beginning in March to celebrate our graduating class and will be returned home before graduation day. Banners are 32" x 15" and are $30.00 per banner. It would be great for all seniors to have a banner on display! To place your order, please complete the order form and submit payment. All orders and payments must be received by Friday, January 30th.
Class of 2026 Families: Register for the Senior Dinner
The annual Senior Dinner, hosted by the Parent-Teacher League (PTL), will be held on Friday, March 13th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. This event is a memorable evening allowing families to reflect on their students' time at Concordia Prep while sharing a meal and fellowship with other Class of 2026 families. Seniors are allowed to bring up to two (2) guests with them to the dinner. The PTL covers the cost for the graduating student for the dinner; however, each guest must purchase a ticket for $25.00 to attend. Payment is required by Sunday, March 1st via this link.
