Calendar Reminder: Thanksgiving Break This Week
School is closed for Thanksgiving Break beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26th through Friday, November 28th. School resumes on normal schedule on Monday, December 1st.
Daily and weekly update communications will pause during break and resume again on Monday, December 1st. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
Tuitions Assistance Applications Due Monday
All new and returning Concordia Prep families must complete an online tuition assistance application from one of our partners each year to be eligible for tuition assistance consideration. Families can learn more and complete the application process here. Applications for returning families is due next Monday, December 1st..
Fine Arts Scholarship Applications Due Monday
The Concordia Prep Fine Arts Scholarships recognize outstanding students, new and returning, who demonstrate exceptional talent, dedication, and achievement across the visual and performing arts. Returning families can learn more here and should apply by Monday, December 1st.
Music Department Christmas Concert
The Concordia Preparatory School Music Department Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 9th from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Saints Gym. This is a culmination event of all our student choir and music ensembles.
Join us at A Concordia Prep Christmas
Designed for our community as a Christmas event with many festive activities, A Concordia Prep Christmas will be held on Saturday, December 13th from 12-3 pm in Saints Gym. This traditional event showcases Saints student performances along with students from other local Lutheran schools. In addition to music, this annual community event includes a Christmas Cookie Walk, winter art show, toy drive, Little Buddy’s Workshop for elementary-aged children and younger, and vendor tables with crafts, goods, and gifts just in time for the holiday season.
Boathouse jackets are an approved outerwear item and now available to purchase via this link through Sunday, December 14th. These will be mailed directly to the student's home in mid-February once the site has closed. Order boathouse jackets here.
Exam Schedule Available
The exam schedule begins on Tuesday, December 16th through Friday, December 19th for Upper School Students as well as any Middle School students taking one of the following courses: Spanish I, German I, Latin I, and Algebra I. Middle School students not taking an exam will have classroom activities during the shortened school days that week. The School dismisses at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) each exam day. Mascot Applications Now Available (8th-11th Grades)
We are excited to invite you to apply for Luther the SAINT Bernard, the Concordia Prep mascot, and become a part of the School's legacy. All application materials, which includes the online application and recommendation form, are due Friday, December 19th. Additional details and the application are available here.
Personal Device Policy Reminders
As we prepare for the upcoming holidays, please be reminded of changes to our personal device policy for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting next school year, all iPads and other non-Windows tablets will not be approved personal devices for all grade levels unless these devices are included in formal learning accommodations. We strongly encourage all returning students to begin transitioning from the use of a tablet or iPad to a recommended device (i.e., Windows 11 laptop, Apple MacBook, or Microsoft Surface). A new, optional device purchasing portal is also available for families to assist with guidance for approved devices and preparation for this transition. Please contact the Technology Office via email with any questions about the new policy.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Family Personal Device Survey Due Tomorrow
The Technology Office needs feedback from Middle School families! Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey about your Middle School student's personal device. If you have more than one student enrolled in the Middle School, please complete this form for each student. Surveys should be completed by tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26th.
Sign Up to Participate in the Spelling Bee
Are you a good speller? Do you like competing? If so, sign up to be a participant in the annual Lutheran schools spelling bee! Please see Ms. Mattes in Room 303 by next Wednesday, December 3rd to sign up for your chance to be one of the three students that will represent Concordia Prep in the official competition on January 29th. Once signed up, students will receive a packet of study words to help prepare for a mock spelling bee the week of December 8th to determine the School representatives.
Save the Date: Middle School Christmas Party
Middle School students will have a Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 17th. Additional details and RSVP will be coming soon!
UPPER SCHOOL
Class of 2027 Ring Orders Due Monday
Juniors should order their class rings thru December 1st. Orders must be placed by this date so that it arrives in time for the traditional Junior Ring Ceremony on Saturday, March 14th. Orders can be placed for basic school rings or customized school rings.
Senior families are now able to upload their favorite photo of their graduating students. These will be included in the yearbook as well as other marketing pieces during graduation celebration events in the spring. Families should upload baby photos of their seniors by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6th.
