Homecoming Week: Spirit Dress Down Day Themes for This Week
Students may choose to show their Saints spirit and dress according to the day's theme, keeping in mind that the guidelines for relaxed dress attire will be upheld. If a student chooses not to dress according to the theme, they must be in the approved Concordia Prep uniform.

School Loaner Device Checkout Process Changes Today
Beginning today, Monday, October 20th, Middle and Upper School students will be asked to trade their personal cell phone in order to check out a daily loaner school device. Cell phones will be returned to students when they return the loaner school device.
 
Bonfire and Variety Show This Friday
A standing tradition at Concordia Prep, the annual bonfire and Saints Variety Show will be held this Friday, October 24th on campus. All students, families, and other Saints community members are encouraged to attend and participate in these wonderful events.
  • Bonfire: 5:30-6:30 p.m., Pebble Beach: The bonfire will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the side gravel parking lot (a.k.a. "Pebble Beach) towards the gym entrance. Families can enjoy music, lawn games, and fellowship. The PTL will have snacks available for purchase as well. Donations and volunteers are welcome!
  • Saints Variety Show: 7:00-8:30 p.m., Saints Gym: The Variety Show will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Gym. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a small admissions fee of $5.00 with proceeds going to Variety Show winners. Additionally, the Homecoming Week class competition winners will be announced along with additional giveaways will be distributed throughout the event! Plus, the class with the highest attendance at this event wins a FREE Relaxed Dress Day for their class only!
Annual Oktoberfest for Alumni and Friends-RSVPs Due This Thursday
The School and its Alumni Association is hosting Oktoberfest, an annual community event for all current and former Saints and friends, this Saturday, October 25th from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on campus. Held outdoors on the Saints Quad, the Saints community is invited to enjoy Oktoberfest classic food fare, like brats, pretzels, and Gemütlicheit. There will be games and family-friendly activities for all ages as well as live festive music provided by the TKO Polka Band! Please RSVP via this link by this Thursday, October 23rd so that we can plan accordingly. Prost! 
 
Food Drive Donations Due This Friday
We are collecting donations of canned soups with easy pull tabs and individual snack items that do not require refrigeration (i.e., applesauce pouches, granola bars, crackers, fruit cups) that will directly support "The Haven" at Loch Raven High School. Donations can be placed in the labeled bins in the two main building entryways. Donations will be collected through this Friday, October 24th. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase additional food items to support "The Haven."
 
Get Your Tickets Next Week's Fall Play!
Make sure you get your tickets to attend a production of Clue, this year's Concordia Prep fall play, which will be held in the Black Box Theatre on the following dates: Thursday, October 30th at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, October 31st at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 1st at 7:00 p.m.; and, Sunday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are now available to purchase!
 
Student Photo Retakes-Required Registration 
Retakes for student photos will be on Tuesday, November 4th, and advance registration is required. Families should contact Ms. Bainbridge by next Friday, October 31st to sign up.
 
Get Your Saints Bingo Tickets
Saints Bingo is back on campus featuring designer bags, such as Dooney & Bourke, Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and more. Bingo will be held in the Saints Gym on Saturday, November 14th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm with doors opening at 6:00 pm. Purchase your tickets and sponsorships here! Please contact Advancement with any questions. 
 
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
Throughout the month, the Technology Office will be sharing different information about cyber security and prevention from cyber attacks. This week, we are reminded about protecting your digital data and various cyber safety tips.
 
Upcoming Baltimore County Department of Health Hearing and Vision Screenings 
The Baltimore County Department of Health will be conducting hearing and vision screening tests next Friday, October 31st, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Nurse's Office. All 8th grade students will be tested along with some other Middle and Upper School students.  If families wish to have their student tested, please contact the Nurse's Office to express interest by 3:00 p.m. next Wednesday, October 29th. Faculty will dismiss students to the Nurse's Office for the screening tests throughout the day per direction from the School Nurse. 
 
MIDDLE SCHOOL
 
Middle School Fall Festival: RSVPs Due Wednesday
Middle School students are invited to attend their very own Fall Festival after school this Friday, October 24th from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on the Saints Quad. The afternoon will be filled with a variety of games and activities, such as gaga ball pit, volleyball, pumpkin decorating, a "sweet treat" walk, and banner/poster making to decorate the fences or hold up while they cheer on the Saints football team the next day at the homecoming game. Snacks will be sold to support the Middle School Student Council as well.
 
Please complete the RSVP by this Wednesday, October 22nd so that we can plan accordingly. Contact Mrs. Calheira with any questions or if you would like to donate "sweet treats" for the event.
 
UPPER SCHOOL
 
Juniors and Seniors: Sign Up for NACAC National College Fair
Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to attend the NACAC National College Fair next Wednesday, October 29th at the Baltimore Convention Center. This is a great way to connect with colleges, learn about programs, and explore all the options in front of them. 
 
Space is limited and granted on a first come, first serve basis contingent on completed paperwork and payments. To participate, Juniors and Seniors must be eligible and in good standing with Concordia Prep at the time of registration and on the day of the trip. 
 
Students should complete the following to participate:
  1. Complete this form first.
  2. Then, submit payment of $10.00 to Mrs. Jahnke to secure your place. 
  3. There will be an additional permission form that families will need to sign, which students will receive once the initial form and payment have been received.
Class of 2027 Ring Orders Now Available
Juniors are now able to order their class rings thru December 1st. Orders must be placed by this date so that it arrives in time for the traditional Junior Ring Ceremony on Saturday, March 14th. Orders can be placed for basic school rings or customized school rings
 
Upper School Homecoming Dance Friday
The Homecoming Dance will take place from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in Saints Gym this Saturday, Oct. 25th. Students should wear formal attire and reference the handbook for guidelines, like no jeans or stiletto heels are permitted. The dance theme this year is "Enchanted".
  • Purchasing Tickets: Tickets are $15.00 per person and can be paid with cash, check, or electronically through GoFan. Tickets will continue to be sold thru Friday, October 24th during the following times each day:
    • 7:50-8:30 a.m., Upper School Lobby (Outside Main Office)
    • Lunch 1, Cafeteria
    • 2:55-3:25 p.m., Room 217
  • Homecoming Guest Information: Students are permitted to bring a guest from another high school to the dance. However, they will need to submit a completed guest pass form, which includes a signature from an administrator at their guest's high school along with the administrator's business card. These forms are due by 3:00 p.m. this Wednesday, October 22nd. Forms are available in the Main Office and also in the MyConcordia "Resources" tab under "Important Documents".
