Concordia Prep Yearbooks: Lower Price Extended Until November 29th!
Concordia Prep yearbooks are available for purchase. The lower price of $75 has been extended until Friday, November 29th. Beginning November 30th, the price will increase to $80. Purchase here.
 
Concordia Prep Gray Sweatshirts Update
There have been delays in the production of the gray sweatshirt orders due to manufacturing inventory issues. Those who placed an order will be receiving an email from the company with updates next week. We hope to have a confirmed date of arrival soon and appreciate your understanding as we work with the distributor to remedy this issue. 

Veterans Day Assembly: Veterans RSVP by Today
Concordia Preparatory School will be holding an all-School Veterans Day Assembly next Monday, November 11th from 9:25 - 10:12 a.m. in the Gym. Dr. David Hughes '97, retired Full-Bird Colonel in the United States Army and current Senior Researcher at Biocore, will serve as our assembly keynote speaker.
 
Veterans Invitation:  Any veterans in the Concordia Prep School community are invited to attend and will be recognized for their service during this assembly. There will also be a breakfast for veterans in advance of the assembly. If able to attend, we ask for veterans to RSVP via this link by today, Friday, November 8th, so that we can plan accordingly.
 
Saints Bingo: Get Your Tickets Before They're Gone! Limited Tickets Available
Saints Bingo will be held next Friday, November 15th in the Gym with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. in the Gym. Beginning bingo at 7:00 p.m., this year's event offers 20 bingo games and raffles with the opportunity to win bags from a variety of brands. Please complete the registration to purchase both individual tickets or tables of 10. New to this year's event, CPS is offering the advance purchase of special game bingo cards, raffle tickets, and more!
 
Baltimore American Indian Center 48th Annual Pow-Wow Trip on Saturday, November 16th
The Baltimore American Indian Center is hosting their 48th Annual Pow-Wow on Saturday, November 16th at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, Timonium, MD Exhibition Hall from 12:00 - 4:00pm.  There is an entry fee of $10 per attendee. Read more about this event.
 
The Concordia Prep Black Student Association (BSA) will be going, chaperoned by Ms. Heckel and Ms. Maier; however, additional Middle and Upper School students are invited to attend. If you are interested in going, please get a permission slip from either teacher and return it no later than next Friday, November 15th.  Alternatively, this is an excellent event to check out on your own with family and friends. 

Student Christmas-Themed Artwork Needed--Submissions Due November 18th! 
We are looking for original student artwork to use for Christmas marketing needs, including the School's Christmas card, concert programs, and social media posts during Advent. This is open to all students. Submissions should be Christmas-related in theme, adhere to School policies outlined in the handbook, and can be any art medium (i.e., painting, photography, mixed media, digital, etc.). Students should submit their artwork via this form by Monday, November 18th. Limited to one submission per student. Contact Mrs. Evans in the Main Office or via email with any questions.
 
Thanksgiving Day Meal Baskets: Donations Needed to Meet Our Goal
Concordia Prep School and NewThing are partnering to support the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) to provide Thanksgiving Day baskets to those in need within our communities. Last year, we were able to bless 2,800 people in our local communities with Thanksgiving feasts. This year, our goal is to provide 100+ baskets to families experiencing food insecurity. Both filled baskets along with individual basket items should be placed in labeled boxes located throughout campus by Monday, November 18th. Monetary donations will be accepted through Wednesday, November 26th. Learn more about needed basket items and how you can help.
 
Student Portraits and Retake Day
Irvin Simon Photography will soon be emailing portrait proofs to 6th - 11th Grade student families. Portrait retakes will be this upcoming Thursday, November 14th in the morning. Please email Ms. Bainbridge by next Tuesday, November 12th if you would like to have your school portrait retaken.

The start to Middle School winter sports has been delayed. Please be on the lookout for updates in next week's daily announcements.
 
Save the Date: Middle School Drama Performances on December 6th
Please save the date for the Middle School drama performances on Friday, December 6th from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. in the Gym. Additional details coming soon!

First Quarter Core Value Award Recipients Announced
During this week's Upper School Chapel, five students were recognized as recipients of the first quarter Core Value Awards. Please join us in congratulating Jonathan Couser (Faith), Taylor Dorsey (Integrity), Owen Hennessey (Community), Brytt Coulter (Leadership), and Matthew Smith (Service)! Read more here. 
 
Basketball Tryouts Continue for Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, and JV Girls
Varsity Boys, JV Girls, and Varsity Girls Basketball tryouts continue this week through Saturday, November 9th. Please note that JV Boys Basketball tryouts will begin next week.
