This day is also a Relaxed Dress Day for Middle School students only. Students should refer to relaxed dress guidelines in the handbook. 8th Graders are encouraged to wear their Class of 2030 shirts as there will be a group photo of all 8th graders on their last day of school. Additional information will be distributed this week to 8th grade families about purchasing shirts for their students.

  • No white T-Shirts, shorts, or tank tops should be worn.
  • Bathing suits may be worn underneath clothes; however, clothes must be worn at all times. Athletic shorts may be worn with compression shorts/spandex underneath.
  • It is suggested that students participating in water activities bring in a towel.
  • Students who do not wish to participate in water activities will have a separate area that is a water-free zone.
Additional information about this event will be distributed soon. Please contact Mr. Miller with any questions in the meantime.
Eighth Grade Affirmation Service Next Friday
The Concordia Prep Eighth Grade Affirmation Service will be held next Friday, May 29th at 6:00 p.m. on campus in Saints Gym. During this service, we will have the opportunity to affirm our 8th Grade students as they prepare to leave the halls of the Concordia Prep Middle School and take the next step in their lives – moving on to the Concordia Prep Upper School or attending high school elsewhere. This service honors the role that God and family have played in the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of each student. It gives all of us an opportunity to acknowledge God’s hand in all aspects of our lives, but especially in the lives of our soon-to-be high school students.

All 8th Grade students should attend the Affirmation Service. It is expected that the students come to this service in clean, neat, and modest attire. Young ladies should wear a skirt and blouse or a dress. Young men should be in dress slacks, an Oxford-style shirt, and tie and should not wear jeans, polo shirts, or sneakers. Students should plan to arrive by 5:30 p.m. and report to the Cafeteria.

There should be ample room for all guests attending this service, so there will not be a limit to the number of invited guests. A light reception will follow the service. We hope that you will plan to stay for a few moments to congratulate each of our 8th Grade students on a job well done while attending Concordia Prep Middle School.
