Softball Coach Named

Welcome New Softball Head Coach Mr. Nick Miskelly
Coach Nick has long been a student of the game and enjoys passing that love, passion, and enjoyment of the game onto the young ladies that he coaches. Coach Nick grew up in the White Marsh / Perry Hall area and played baseball through the White Marsh system and played through high school. After high school, he started playing softball socially as well as on competitive tournament teams winning multiple championships including back-to-back Maryland State Championship in 2012 and 2013.

After over 30 years of playing, Coach Nick stepped away from playing the game to get involved in youth sports as his children started playing various sports. He is very passionate about teaching young athletes how to play the game with a fun-loving energy that not only supports the growth and success of the athletes and teams but reminds them that softball is a game, and it should be enjoyed and played with a smile.

Coach Nick has spent the last 3 years coaching travel softball with the Honeygo Hurricanes as a 12U, 14U, and 16U head coach. While coaching, he has created a culture that players love to be part of with an approach that not only improves individual skills but also teaches the young ladies the importance of working hard to achieve team goals and being a great teammate.  It is important to know how to connect with the players and be there to help support them, not just on their softball journey, but also help provide them the confidence and skills to carry with them throughout their entire lives. He believes that he has gotten where he is in life thanks to those who took the time to coach (teach) him over the years and really enjoys returning the favor as a coach today.
