8th Grade Affirmation

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5701 Loch Raven Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21239
A Service of Affirmation to celebrate the Concordia Prep 8th grade class is scheduled for Friday, May 31st, 2024, at 6:30 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at the corner of Loch Raven Boulevard and Belvedere Avenue. Immanuel has a handicap-accessible entrance by the north lot on Loch Raven Blvd. This Service of Affirmation honors the role that God and family have played in each student's physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. It allows us to acknowledge God’s hand in all aspects of our lives, especially in the lives of our 8th-grade students at Concordia Prep.

All 8th-grade students should plan on attending this Service of Affirmation. The students are expected to come to Immanuel Lutheran Church in clean, neat, and modest attire. Young ladies should wear a skirt and blouse or a dress. Young men should be in dress slacks and a shirt and tie, no jeans, polo shirts or sneakers. Students should plan to arrive by 6:00 pm and report to the Fellowship Hall in the lower level of the Church.

There should be ample room for all guests attending this Service. There will not be a limit to the number of guests to the Affirmation Service.

A light reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. We hope that you will plan to stay for a few moments and congratulate each of our 8th-grade students on a job well done while attending Concordia Prep Middle School.

Additional Information: The last day of classes for 8th Grade students is Thursday, May 30th. All 8th Grade students will not be on campus on Friday, May 31st.

Please note that all 8th-grade students who are taking Upper School classes (Spanish I, Latin I, German I, Algebra I, or Honors Geometry) will be required to take the final exams for these classes at the scheduled date and time. Upper School exams are scheduled for June 4-7. Please check with your student and their teacher concerning the date and time for their Upper School class final exam.
