What a spring it has been! We have been blessed with some amazing individual and team performances this season and Saints Pride is at an all-time high!
Baseball: Baseball finished the regular season as the # 3 seed. As we know there is, “For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.” At this time, our amazing 2022-2023 athletic season has come to an end. What a year it was and we are so blessed by our growth, accomplishments, and the opportunity to participate in athletics. Our last team standing was our baseball team. For the first time ever, our conference had a double-elimination tournament that took place over 10 days. The boys battled and ultimately had to win 4 games in 6 days to have the opportunity to compete in the championship. They took on the #1 seed Key in a marathon 4-hour slugfest and won 11-4 to force a second game. With highs come lows, and the boys fell in the final game. It was not without a valiant effort and we are so proud of their season.
Boys’ Lacrosse: The Boys’ Lacrosse team lost a heartbreaker in the semifinals, 14-9 to St. John’s Catholic Prep. This team also finished the regular season as the #3 seed and battled every single game. The program has grown immensely and we are excited about their future. Thank you to the Class of 23, who has been instrumental in the growth of this program. They will be back!
Girls’ Lacrosse: Girls’ Lacrosse finished an UNDEFEATED season with a championship win over Catholic 17-9! They were ranked #1 during the season and played so well together as a team. The championship game was a tight battle until the Saints broke it open in the second half. The team has achieved new heights and is committed to working hard each year to build the program. Softball: Softball ended the regular season as the #3 seed and had an incredible postseason. Playing like a team possessed, they ended up knocking out the #1 seed to earn a bid in the championship. Once there, the comeback Saints did it again. They were down 12-8 and then had a furious rally to win 18-12.
AAM All-Conference team selections for softball and lacrosse. Softball: Nayla Meyers, Kaitlyn Osbourn, and Cadia Sanders. Lacrosse: Riley Bilger, Molly Clapp, Ana Fadrowski, Sloan Hubbard, and Ceanna McGirt.
Track and Field: Another great showing for track and field at the IAAM/MIAA championship. Several Records were set and our boys finished 2nd.
