Student Portraits and Retake Day Today
Portrait retakes will be today, Thursday, November 14th in the morning. If students signed up, the list has been distributed to faculty. Faculty will make sure that those students are in the Bridges Media Center at their scheduled time.

American Indian Learning Session Today, November 14th, During Advisory
Interested in learning more about American Indians? Swing by Room 215 today, Thursday, November 14th during Advisory. There will be an information session hosted by Mr. Wendling, where Middle and Upper School students can ask questions, see ceremony regalia, and more. Hope to see you there!
 
Saints Bingo Tickets Sold Out! 
We have sold out of tickets for this year's Saints Bingo tomorrow, Friday, November 15th in the Gym. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with bingo games beginning at 7:00 p.m.. This year's event offers 20 bingo games and raffles with the opportunity to win designer bags from a variety of brands.
 
Baltimore American Indian Center 48th Annual Pow-Wow Trip This Saturday
The Baltimore American Indian Center is hosting their 48th Annual Pow-Wow this Saturday, November 16th at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, Timonium, MD Exhibition Hall from 12:00 - 4:00pm.  There is an entry fee of $10 per attendee. Read more about this event.
 
The Concordia Prep Black Student Association (BSA) will be going, chaperoned by Ms. Heckel and Ms. Maier; however, additional Middle and Upper School students are invited to attend. If you are interested in going, please get a permission slip from either teacher and return it no later than tomorrow, Friday, November 15th.  Alternatively, this is an excellent event to check out on your own with family and friends. 

Student Christmas-Themed Artwork Needed: Submissions Due Monday
We are looking for original student artwork to use for Christmas marketing needs, including the School's Christmas card, concert programs, and social media posts during Advent. This is open to all students. Submissions should be Christmas-related in theme, adhere to School policies outlined in the handbook, and can be any art medium (i.e., painting, photography, mixed media, digital, etc.). Students should submit their artwork via this form or turn in hard copies to Mrs. Evans in the Main Office by Monday, November 18th. Limited to one submission per student. Contact Mrs. Evans via email with any questions.
 
Thanksgiving Day Meal Baskets: Donations Due Monday
Concordia Prep School and NewThing are partnering to support the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) to provide Thanksgiving Day baskets to those in need within our communities. Last year, we were able to bless 2,800 people in our local communities with Thanksgiving feasts. This year, our goal is to provide 100+ baskets to families experiencing food insecurity. Both filled baskets along with individual basket items should be placed in labeled boxes located throughout campus by Monday, November 18th. Monetary donations will be accepted through Wednesday, November 26th. Learn more about needed basket items and how you can help.
 
A Concordia Prep Christmas on Saturday, December 7th
A Concordia Prep Christmas is a traditional event for all community members to celebrate the upcoming Christmas season while contributing to the Concordia Prep School Music Department fundraiser. This free event offers attendees the opportunity to watch Concordia Prep student music ensemble group performances, participate in the annual Christmas Cookie Walk, view student artwork on display, and take care of some shopping at vendor and craft tables.
 
Vendors Needed: Vendors are invited to purchase a space for $20 to sell goods (non-food items only) and handmade items. If interested, please use this link to complete the vendor application and agreement by Monday, November 25th. Questions? Please contact the Music Department with any questions.
 
Save the Date: Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 10th
The Concordia Preparatory School Music Department Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 10th from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Additional information will be distributed soon!
 
Middle School
 
Middle School Basketball Continues!
Middle School Basketball continues for both boys and girls today, Thursday, November 14th, from 3:15 - 4:00 p.m. in the Gym. Coaches will communicate future practice times directly with players and families. Interested students should come prepared for practice each day with a reusable water bottle, athletic shoes, and a change of clothes for practice. Please note that students will be required to wear their school-approved P.E. shorts for games. We look forward to a great upcoming season!
 
Middle School Drama Showcase and Coffee House on December 6th
The Middle School Drama Showcase and Coffee House will be held on Friday, December 6th from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre. This event is an opportunity for all of the drama students to participate in a theatre performance. This live performance will include a variety of scenes, monologues, and more! Light refreshments, including coffee, hot chocolate, and treats, will be available for purchase. The students will be working hard throughout the night to provide the absolute best experience for attendees!
