Interested in seeing The Outsiders, Winner of the 2024 Tony Award® for Best Musical, and participating in an acting workshop led by Broadway professionals? This year's trip, which is open to students in grades 6-12, is on November 20th. Please see Mrs. Johnson in the Main Office for more information about attending.
Fall Play: Peter and The Starcatcher This Weekend!
Concordia Prep School Theatre Program presents Peter and the Starcatcher with performances in the Black Box Theatre the first upcoming weekend (see performance schedule below). Ticket prices are $10 for students and senior citizens and $15 for adults. Seating is general admission; doors open 30 minutes prior to the show.
Performance Schedule:
- Friday, November 1: 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, November 2: 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, November 3: 2:00 p.m.

Saints Bingo: Register Soon!
Saints Bingo will be held on Friday, November 15th in the Gym with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. in the Gym. Beginning bingo at 7:00 p.m., this year's event offers 20 bingo games and raffles with the opportunity to win bags from a variety of brands.
Please complete the registration to purchase both individual tickets or tables of 10. New to this year's event, CPS is offering the advance purchase of special game bingo cards, raffle tickets, and more!
Student Artwork Wanted!
We are looking for original student artwork to use for this year’s Concordia Preparatory School Christmas card, concert programs, and social media posts during Advent. This is open to all enrolled Middle School and Upper School Concordia Prep students. Submissions should be Christmas-related in theme, adhere to School policies outlined in the handbook, and can be any art medium (i.e., painting, photography, mixed media, digital, etc.). Limited to one submission per student. All submitted artwork will be voted on by faculty to determined featured pieces.
Student Portraits and Retake Day
Portraits proofs will be emailed to 6th - 11th Grade student families soon from Irvin Simon Photography. Portrait retakes will be Thursday, November 14th in the morning. If you would like to have your school portrait retaken, please email

Middle School
Middle School Volleyball Halloween Game Tomorrow!
Middle School students are invited to support the Middle School Volleyball team at their last games tomorrow, October 30th at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the Gym. These games will be Halloween-themed, so Middle School students are allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to the games as long as they are school appropriate, contain no gore, and cannot have any play or lookalike weapons. If they choose not to wear a costume, please wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Family Forum Night for Current CPS 8th Grade Families Tomorrow!
Our current 8th Grade families are invited to this exclusive event tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30th at 6:00 pm in the Bridges Media Center. This is a great chance for parents and students to hear from members of the Concordia Prep administrative team, faculty, coaches, and parents as well as current students about their experiences in the Concordia Prep Upper School. Families exploring the Concordia Preparatory School Upper School for their student should consider attending to learn more.

Upper School
Maryland Math League Contest Today!
The first contest of the 2024-2026 Maryland Math League is today, Tuesday, October 29th during Advisory in the cafeteria. One Tuesday a month, Upper School students are invited to complete six puzzle type questions with math skills starting in Algebra 1. No experience is required and everyone is welcome. Last year, we beat McDonogh and Calvert Hall, so let’s keep it up! Please see Ms. Tornabene with any questions.
Upper School Winter Cheer Interest Meeting Tomorrow
There will be an interest meeting for winter cheerleading tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30th, during Advisory in Room 210. Any Upper School students interested in trying out for winter cheerleading should attend. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Welbourn. Tryouts will be held November 4th -7th.
