    Hurricane Helene Relief Support: Donation Collection Extended thru Sunday, October 20th!
    Concordia Prep School is partnering with NewThing to support those affected by Hurricane Helene. Our community is coming together to address the high need for hygiene products by making personal hygiene kits. We have extended the collecting of donated items through Sunday, October 20th. Donated items can be placed in designated boxes around campus. Read more about this initiative and how you can help.
     
    Variety Show: Student Talent Wanted!!
    Our traditional bonfire and Variety Show will take place next Friday, October 18th, during Homecoming Week for all Concordia Prep School students. The bonfire will take place on Pebble Beach from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m., and the PTL will be selling pizza, snacks, and drinks. 
     
    The Variety Show will take place from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Gym. Students can sign up to be in the variety show or sign up for the lip sync competition. Top winners will win prizes, and the winners of the class competitions will also be announced at the end of the show. And students will have a special announcement revealed as well--more details to come this week!
     
    Homecoming Dress Down Days
    Next week, students may choose to show their Saints spirit and dress according to the day's theme, keeping in mind that the guidelines for relaxed dress attire will be upheld. If a student chooses not to dress according to the theme, they must be in the approved CPS uniform.

    Technology Office Updates
    October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Students should check their school email accounts for weekly emails from Mrs. Trapani and the hallway TVs for information about cyber security topics and how to stay safe on the Internet.

    Personal Student Device Issues:  As a reminder, the Technology Office cannot troubleshoot hardware issues on a student's personal device other than advising a power cycle. Students are encouraged to speak with their families about any issues and contact a repair facility, as necessary. Our staff can issue short-term loaner devices for up to 3 weeks with parental consent to allow students to use.
     
    Boathouse Jackets Now Available for Purchase!
    Concordia Prep School boathouse jackets, which are part of the CPS uniform, are now available to purchase online for $121.00 plus shipping/handling. Orders must be received by the end of the day on Sunday, October 20th, and will be delivered directly to your homes. Order here

    Middle School
     
    Homecoming Banner: Sign-Ups Due Today!
    Middle School students who would like to sign up to work on their graduating class's Homecoming Banner or who would like to represent their class by playing Jeopardy during Homecoming Week should sign up on the sign-up sheets in front of Mr. Miller's office. They will have until today, Friday, October 11th, to sign up. 
     
    Middle School Spirit Day
    Middle School students are invited to attend their very own Spirit Day after school on Friday, October 18th from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on the Saints Quad. The afternoon will be filled with a variety of games and activities, such as pumpkin decorating, a "sweet treat" walk, and banner/poster making to decorate the fences or hold up while they cheer on the Saints football team the next day at the game. Please contact Mrs. Calheira if you have any questions or would like to donate "sweet treats" for the event. 
     
    We will also be providing tie-dyeing materials as another activity in hopes to wear the tie-dyed attire to Saturday's game. NOTE: Students should bring their own plain white garments (i.e., shirt, socks) if they wish to participate in tie-dyeing. 
     
    We would ask parents/guardians to complete this online permission form by next Thursday, October 17th for students to be able to participate in the Middle School Spirit Day. 
     
     
    Upper School
     
    Jeopardy Sign-Up: Due Today!
    Upper School students who would like to represent their class by playing a general knowledge Jeopardy during Homecoming Week should sign up on the sign-up sheets in front of the Main Office. They will have until today, Friday, October 11th to sign up. 
     
    Homecoming Banner
    Each class will have the opportunity to decorate a banner to earn points for their class for the class competitions. The banner should involve the Homecoming theme ("Red Carpet") and should show Saints spirit. Students can work on their banners before/after school and during Advisory beginning thru 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16th. Banners will be judged next Wednesday, October 16th at 3:15 p.m. Here are the room locations for the banners. 
    • Room 107 - Class of 2028: Freshman
    • Room 209 - Class of 2027: Sophomores
    • Room 213- Class of 2026: Juniors
    • Room 314- Class of 2025: Seniors
    Homecoming Dance
    The Homecoming Dance is open to all 9 -12th Grade students at Concordia Preparatory School, and it will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. in the Gym. Tickets are $15 per individual and can be purchased with cash, check, or online with the GoFan app. Tickets will be sold during 1st lunch and after school until 3:30 P.M. through Friday, October 18th.
     
    If students plan on bringing a guest, they need to get a guest form from the Attendance Office, Mrs. Miller, or OnCampus (under "Upper School Handbook and Forms"). All completed guest forms must be turned in to Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Welinsky by 5:00 p.m. this upcoming Monday, Oct. 14th.
