Saints Spirit Cookout Tomorrow!
The Saints Spirit Cookout is a community event for the whole family and will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 28, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the CPS Quad. There will be food and drinks provided as well as a Spirit Wear and gently used uniforms sale, raffles, and giveaways. And stay afterwards to cheer on the Saints football team as they take on Loyola with a noon kickoff on Saints Field! Raffle winners will be announced during halftime.

CPS Black Fleece Jackets- Orders Due This Sunday!
Concordia Prep School black fleece jackets, which are part of the CPS uniform, are now available to purchase online for $50.00. Orders must be received by the end of the day this Sunday, September 29th.

Parent Survey for Middle States Accreditation Due Next Friday
Concordia Prep is in the process of completing its Middle States accreditation and assessing itself against the 12 Middle States Standards for Accreditation. These standards and indicators take a holistic look at the entire school program, resources, and environment from the perspective of all of the school’s stakeholders, including our CPS families.
We are asking that our CPS parents complete this anonymous survey by the end of day next Friday, October 4th. These survey results will be used to identify areas of strength as well as opportunities for growth and improvement for the School. Your input is necessary, valued, and greatly appreciated.

Technology Office Updates- Student Devices
- Students must sign out school Chromebooks for the day by 8:30 am (Middle School) and by 9:00 am (Upper School).
- Middle School students should see Ms. Chaffman in Room 314 to borrow a school device for the day.
- Upper School students should see Mrs. Hauf in the Front Office.
- Students cannot borrow a daily loaner device after 9:00 am unless the student has an excused tardy or we have a modified class schedule (i.e., a two-hour delay).
- Students cannot borrow any chargers or power cords from the Technology Office.
- Students with broken personal devices can temporarily borrow a school Chromebook in a protective case from the Technology Office for up to 3 weeks with parental consent.
- All students should download and install the Chrome web browser on their personal devices. Please see the email from Mrs. Trapani for installation instructions.
LCMS Youth Gathering- July 2025
NewThing is excited to be taking a group of youth to the 2025 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA, on July 19-23. The National Youth Gathering is an event put on every 3 years by the LCMS where over 20,000 high school youth will come together as a community of God's people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith, and their Christian identity, and build impactful connections.
This is an opportunity for current 8th-12th graders to come together as a community of God's people to learn more about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith through worship, service, and other fun activities.
Information Meetings for Youth (attend when available):
- Tuesday, October 1: During advisory, Room 217
- Sunday, October 6: 11:30 a.m. following NewThing Worship Gathering, Media Center
There will also be a Zoom meeting at 7:00 p.m. for parents on Tuesday, October 8th.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Movie Night Tonight!
All Middle School students are invited to a Movie Night tonight, Friday, September 27th from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. on the Quad (Rain location: Gym). Snacks will be provided as we watch Despicable Me 4! Students are encouraged to bring a blanket or folding chair.
Registration Extended! Cost is $10 to participate. Payments are still being accepted! Please place payment in an envelope with the student’s name and grade on the outside. All payments must be turned into Ms. Calheira or Mr. Miller today before the event begins. If your Middle School student plans on attending this event, we would ask that you
complete this permission form.
UPPER SCHOOL
Saints Sunrise Service for Classes of 2025 and 2026 TODAY!
The PTL is excited to host the Annual Sunrise Service tomorrow, Friday, September 27th, in collaboration with Pastor Couser. Senior and junior students should arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. The sunrise is 6:59 a.m., which is when we will begin the worship service. Breakfast will be provided.
