[T]oday’s featured player is a member of that 2026 defensive line freshman group: Rodney White.

"A 6’1” freshman from Baltimore, Rodney White starred at Concordia Preparatory School and was ranked as a consensus three-star recruit by every major recruiting service. As a senior, he had 24 tackles including seven tackles for loss and five sacks and he earned First-Team All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association honors as both a junior and a senior. He is a member of a recruiting class that heavily focused on the trenches with three other defensive tackles joining alongside him: Gabriel Hill, Blake Smythe and Cam McHaney.

The starters on the interior of the line can be written in permanent marker as Mario Landino and Tyrique Tucker form one of the best duos in the country. Each of them are All-American candidates and they’ll lead the way on the interior. Tulsa transfer Joe Hjelle is likely the first player to rotate in while Jhrevious Hall and Kyler Garcia will battle for snaps. As long as injuries don’t strike, the staff would almost certainly love to redshirt each of the freshman, including Rodney White.

White’s prep school played against a strong schedule and his HUDL highlight video was outstanding. At times, he appeared unblockable on the inside and he uses his leverage very well. His build will likely remind fans of Tyrique Tucker with an added inch or two of height. He has a long way to go before his play can be compared to Tucker’s but the potential for a very bright future is clear."
