New Volleyball and Baseball Head Coaches Announced!
As the School enters the last couple of weeks of summer, we are excited to announce that our coaching team is now complete and to formally welcome two familiar Saints community members into head coaching roles for the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Erikka Sansom will serve as the new Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach at Concordia Prep this fall. With several years of coaching experience, Coach Sansom is excited to begin the upcoming season and looks forward to building upon the foundation of the Saints volleyball program.
Mr. Joshua Schildwachter '11 will now serve on our team as the new Varsity Boys Baseball Head Coach this spring. As a former varsity assistant coach, head coach of the Middle School boys baseball team, and student-athlete of the School's baseball program, Coach Schildwachter is excited to build upon the winning tradition of the program and to lead the team into future championships.

Meet Coach Sansom
Throughout her coaching career, Coach Sansom has been dedicated to developing not only strong and skilled athletes, but also confident, disciplined, responsible, and respectful young women. She believes that athletics provides an opportunity to teach valuable lessons that extend far beyond the court.
Her passion for coaching, knowledge of athletics, leadership, and commitment to excellence will help move the Saints volleyball program forward. Her vision is to establish a program that competes with confidence, plays with purpose, and represents Concordia Prep with pride and class both on and off the court.
"Success will not be defined by wins and losses alone, but by the character we build, the relationships we develop, and the standard of excellence we establish together," she said with excitement about the future of the program and getting started with the season.
In addition to her role as Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach, Coach Sansom serves as the Head Coach of the Concordia Prep Middle School Softball team. She is also a faculty member in the Social Studies and Physical Education departments at Concordia Prep.
Prior to joining Concordia Prep, Coach Sansom served as an Administrative Assistant for the College of Education at West Liberty University. She also spent six years at Bethany College, where she served as the Director of Athletic Communications.
Meet Coach Schildwachter
Coach Schildwachter welcomes the opportunity to serve as the Varsity Boys Baseball Head Coach this upcoming school year, building upon the Saints legacy of a championship program here at Concordia Prep. With over seven years of coaching experience, he is ready to prepare student-athletes for a winning season.
"I am blessed for the opportunity to step into this new role and continue the winning tradition that many coaches have set before me, including my father, Mr. Paul Schildwachter," said Coach Schildwachter. "I am also excited to help guide these young men to be the best versions of themselves that they can be both on and off the field."
In addition to his new role as Varsity Boys Baseball Head Coach, he also serves as faculty in the Physical Education department here. Prior to this coaching role, Coach Schildwachter served as an assistant coach for the past three years for the Saints varsity baseball program as well as the Middle School Boys Baseball Head Coach. He also has served as the head coach for the middle school baseball program at St. Paul's Kingsville and volunteered as an assistant coach for four years from 2013 to 2016 at Concordia Prep.
As an alumni of the Class of 2011, Coach Schildwachter played on the varsity baseball team for four years, winning the 2009 MIAA B Conference championship and earning All-Conference honors his senior year in the MIAA B Conference.
